Berlinale’s European Film Market (EFM) 2019: Country in Focus

69th Berlinale EFM is supported by the Norwegian Film Institute to showcase Norway’s vibrant film scene from a variety of perspectives. The “Country in Focus” initiative will give Norway’s film industry and filmmakers the opportunity to introduce themselves in greater depth and highlight certain aspects. A high number of Norwegian producers and other film professionals are expected to attend the festival.

The opportunity to focus on and extensively present film countries such as Norway at the market supports not only the EFM’s relationships with individual film industries internationally, but also fosters exchange between the film industries themselves.

“Norway in Focus” at the EFM is an important global showcase for Norwegian creators that will enable Norwegian content to reach new audiences and will create new export opportunities for its industry.

During the 69th Berlinale, a wide-ranging and diverse collection of market premieres and festival favorites from Norway will be presented in the EFM Market Screenings, featuring promo reels of upcoming Norwegian films as well as special screenings.

On Feb 8th, 6pm, there are 10 rising Norwegian producers will be presented within the framework of the Norwegian Producers Spotlight during the Kick-Off Happy Hour of the EFM Producers Hub.
